Below is a list of books and websites that are relevant in some way to the material on this site, and have provided me with inspiration, sustenance, information and help over the years. The list is by no means exhaustive and is in no particular order.
Adyashanti - Emptiness Dancing and also The End of Your World. Adyashanti also has much material and teaching available online http://www.adyashanti.org/. One of the true and very clear non-dual teachers of our time.
Dhyan Dewyea - Beyond the 'I': Notes on Waking up to Oneness. A wonderful book that I happened on by chance ... clear description of the intersection of psychological and spiritual journeys. I had a number of phone calls and a correspondence with Dhyan shortly after I awakened.
Alice Miller - Thou Shalt Not be Aware: Society's Betrayal of the Child, Pictures of a Childhood and also For Your Own Good: Hidden Cruelty in Child-Rearing and the Roots of Violence. Also a number of her other books. Also material available online http://www.alice-miller.com/en/.
Jack Kornfield - A Path with Heart: A Guide Through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life. A beautiful book that I deeply relished.
Peter Wilberg - I have featured Peter's essays on depression on this website but three of his books have also greatly informed my journey: Head, Heart and Hara, The Qualia Revolution and From New Age to New Gnosis (thumbnails are linked to Amazon UK).
Viktor Frankl - Man's Search for Meaning.
Thomas Moore - Care of the Soul and also Dark Nights of the Soul.
Peter Breggin - Toxic Psychiatry. Also his site http://breggin.com/ called Psychiatric Drug Facts. Powerful and necessary material.
Thomas Szasz - The Myth of Mental Illness.
Alexander Lowen - The Betrayal of the Body and also Fear of Life.
Peter Matthiessen - The Snow Leopard. A wonderful book that I have added to this list simply because it is so beautifully written and many many years ago provided a profound introduction to the world of spirituality and journeying.
Ken Wilber - No Boundary, One Taste: Daily Reflections on Integral Spirituality and also Grace and Grit: Spirituality and Healing in the Life and Death of Treya Killam Wilber. I was never that keen on Wilber's Integral Spirituality and yet his books opened me to many other writers and gave me much to inquire into. Grace and Grit is one of the most compelling, honest and heart-rending books I have ever read.
Nisargadatta Maharaj - I Am That.
A.H. Almaas - The Inner Journey Home and The Point of Existence. Also a number of his other books and online material at http://www.ahalmaas.com/.
Chogyam Trungpa - Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism. A must-read for anyone interested in authentic spiritual inquiry. A wonderful book.
